Sawman Werebear Saw Bears Series Book 4 edition by T S Joyce Paranormal Romance eBooks Reviews

A small café in Saratoga, where the Saw Bears would eat occasionally. Brighton, who had been on the run from himself set after speaking with his alpha Tagan, who wants him to return to the crew. As Tagan leaves a young woman walks up to Brighton's table and asks if she can eat with him. He politely says no and so she returns to her table and proceeds to have a seizure. Brighton reacts and is by her side and thinking he smells fur.
This emaciated, scared, slip of a girl is a shifter. Knowing these humans can't take her, he grabs her up and run for his truck.
She wakes and he asks her who she is and where she comes from he can tell she is not a born shifter. When he asks who bit her she refuses to tell. So the hunt is on, while a little slip of a girl is afraid, not understanding what is happening to her. You see, she was bitten and turned without knowing what her partner was. He left her in pain, not knowing what her future would be. Brighton is ready to kill and he is having a hard time understanding the feelings and emotions going thru his head toward this young woman.
The hunt and love story is on.....
Sawman is the fourth in the series by T. S. featuring the Ashe Crew of lumberjacks who are bear shifters. This is the story of Brighton and Everly, and it packs a heck of a punch.

Ever is the adult child of an alcoholic, and is withdrawn, socially awkward, and submissive. She has also been abused by a character that is familiar from another book in this series, and has been suffering a long, sickly process because she does not know that she is the victim of a failed claiming by her abuser. Brighton discovers this when she has a seizure in front of him, and he takes it upon himself, though he is suffering with a time of uncontrolled shifts himself, to help her bring her bear out.

This is a story of two broken people who are desperate to heal each other, and too stubborn to die. It is a real, honest look at what trauma does to the insides of people, and how understanding and determination can slowly work its way to reforming self-esteem and accepting ourselves as we are. It is much easier to accept someone else's flaws than our own at times, but it is vital to learn that we are okay in spite of everything. Brighton and Everly do that for each other, and it is a poignant, special thing. I've read other reviewers that did not like Everly and felt she was weak, but she is far from that. She is a survivor who does not realize her own strength until she has something (and someone) to give her a firm purpose and reason to better herself. She's been subdued by negative messages her entire life and it isn't easy to banish those and set new ones in their place. Physical abuse is difficult, but emotional and verbal abuse can be harder to heal, because they bruise and damage the mind, and the heart.

These two are like a yin and yang, able to curl around each other and provide the stability that they both need to support their finer qualities as they grow. It takes a pretty solid author to show the psychology of brokenness in such a gentle way and still find a happy ending for her characters; but then again, on Damon's mountain, everyone has their place in the crazy quilt of very different people.
Sawman Werebear is the forth book in the Saw Bears series. It is written in third person with a high amount of explicitly detailed sexual content and adult language throughout. A short to medium length book. While it is a standalone book it would be better if you read the other books in the series first; especially Timberman Werebear as this story mostly takes place in between the last chapter and the epilogue and Lumberjack Werebear for what happened to Everly. While the other books are explained in some detail, enough to grasp the concept of what has taken place, there is a lot that has happened, and you might be lost without the other stories.

Brighton, we have meet in all the past books, he comes across a shy because he can’t speak – and the reason for his lost voice is explained here. Brighton is very troubled, more so than past books have let on; that too is explained in this story. By the end he is shown in a whole new way and you just love him. Everly is truly shy and so sweet, she also believes she is dying and that brings about a new outlook for life. She was hurt and Turned without her even knowing about the weres by someone introduced in Lumberjack Werebear. The story is heartbreaking (in that good way – so they can be put back together and fit) and you just want the hug both of them and let them know it will work out. They take the long road there but in the end they both understand the strength they have and the bond of steel they forged together.

The story is a happy ever after one… where things seem good in the end, but you can tell this couple is going to show up in future books. Again, these stories are told in a way that doesn’t really date them… so they are easily read in one sitting and can be reread over and over. It is well edited and seems to be consistent with the facts of the other books before it.
Love all the books I've read from T S Joyce and I've read a lot of them. The books are funny, sad, suspenseful and the sex is hot, hot, hot. Most of the books are short so an afternoon read.
